The tall, sleek style of a halogen torchiere floor lamp makes it an excellent lighting choice for areas of the home where a modern look is wanted in a small amount of space. This type of lighting must be kept away from moisture as any wetness can cause the bulbs to explode, damaging the entire lamp. It's also not wise to use torchieres featuring halogen lamps if safety features are not in place to prevent fire hazard.
